My heart is pounding. I woke up this morning knowing that my debut children's book, The Legend of the Bogus Basin Troll, went live at midnight last night. There are so many emotions running through me as I work through my to-do list on my launch day plans.
Ecstatic that all of my work alongside so many others will be available to readers everywhere starting today. Nervous as I consider that my book may not be everyone's cup of tea (and that's okay)! Grateful for the folks that supported me during the writing and self-publishing process and after by way of purchasing my book and writing reviews to keep the momentum going. Proud of everything I have learned along the way; that I could take something from idea and put it into a tangible accomplishment.
Today feels as if I'm walking through a dream. This is surreal. I began the day by taking a deep breath knowing I did everything that led up to this moment and now it's here. I shared out links on social media and have had such incredible and immediate feedback. I mailed out influencer copies for those who were interested. I emailed local bookstores in hopes of being acquired for availability at their stores. I contacted local news and journalism sources. Now, I am reflecting on all that has transpired. While there is still much more work to be done, I am breathing deeply, trying to soak today in as this will be a memory that I carry forever.
