I'm Jordan, a fourth year primary grade teacher. I created this site to share my educational materials, classroom decor, first grade experiences, lesson plans, and current events from my life with fellow educators. My love for teaching began when I was a first grader. My teacher at the time didn't know that I would later make it my life goal to be just like her. It's a crazy thought that I knew what I wanted to be at the age of 6. All throughout my schooling, I strived to become a teacher, so when I got to college (The University of Texas at Austin, Hook 'Em!) and was placed to observe a first grade class, I knew it was meant to be. Upon graduation, I took a position teaching, you guessed it, FIRST GRADE!! I am literally living my 6 year old self's dream. I love my job more than humanly possible.
In order to get the full picture of who I am as a teacher, I am a caffeine fiend, list-maker, collaborator, good listener, loud laugher with an anal retentive personality (also known as 'Type A').
